French Alps 2030 Winter Olympics: A New Vision Unfolds

Edgar Grospiron, after participating in the founding ceremony of the Organizing Committee for the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps in February this year, introduced his strategic vision for the event. He emphasized the significance of hosting an environmentally - respectful competition, with a focus on valuing athletes and actively involving the host regions.

 

 

In addition, he announced the appointment of Cyril Linette as the general director of the organizing committee. In the coming weeks, Linette will, with the support of the International Olympic Committee, construct the project framework. This appointment is seen as a crucial step in moving the 2030 Winter Olympics forward.

 

The managers of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee highlighted the importance of drawing on the positive experience of the Paris 2024 Olympics. They aim to establish close connections with all federations, regardless of whether their events are included in the 2030 Olympic program. This approach is expected to ensure the comprehensive preparation and smooth running of the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps, bringing a new and exciting sports event to the world.
